On February the 26th, the Italian Space Agency (ASI) hosted an event in Rome, Italy, convening representatives from academia and companies in the space and technology sectors, highlighting the innovation within the Italian Positioning, Navigation and Timing landscape.

The event started with an opening speech by ASI, highlighting the position of NAVISP in the programs supported by them.

The NAVISP team then presented an overview of the programme and related initiatives, detailing NAVISP's strategic objectives and opportunities for industry collaboration, as an outcome of the ESA Council at Ministerial level held in November 2025.

Later, ASI explored the features of the NAVISP Programme alongside the opportunities for the Italian PNT ecosystem, focusing on the procedures applicable at national level.

An interesting Q&A followed, addressing upcoming opportunities, technical challenges, and the evolving market trends within space and non-space sectors.

At the end of the event, one-to-one discussions between ESA and the participating companies took place, fostering a collaborative environment for the exchange of technical ideas and potential future activities.

The event encouraged cross-sector collaboration with industry leaders, showcased real-world NAVISP implementations, and offered personalized consultations with ESA to address individual pursuits within the PNT technology landscape.
