Fondazione LINKS

Fondazione LINKS
LINKS (Leading Innovation and Knowledge for Society) is a no-for-profit private foundation with the primary mission of boosting the interaction between research and industrial world. On the 1st of January 2019, Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB) and Istituto Superiore sui Sistemi Territoriali per l'Innovazione (SiTI), two research institutes founded by Politecnico di Torino and Compagnia di San Paolo, merged in LINKS. The new foundation inherited the existing background of ISMB and SiTI: personnel, facilities, goods and premises of ISMB and SiTI converged in LINKS. While ISMB focused on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), SiTI worked on environmental protection and transports. LINKS recently added the factory of the future, cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) among its strategic areas of research, establishing collaboration with several interested organizations including other research centres, industries and partners in the education sector. The Space and Navigation Technologies Area of LINKS consists of a team of senior researchers who have developed significant skills in GNSS algorithms design, signal analysis, software radio developments and testing, thanks to a strong background on signal processing, simulation of signals and systems, performance analysis and assessment.
