We are pleased to announce the unveiling of the new logo for the Navigation Innovation and Support Programme (NAVISP). This logo symbolizes a renewed vision for NAVISP Phase 4, to be proposed at the upcoming Ministerial Conference in 2025. Phase 4 will mark an important step in our ongoing efforts to support the European and Canadian Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) industry in a rapidly evolving global market.
The downstream GNSS market alone will experience substantial growth over the next decade, with downstream revenues reaching up to €510 billion by 2033. This upward trajectory is expected to be further propelled by growing interest in alternative PNT technologies, both ground- and space-based, which are likely to drive innovation and the development of new services. Despite this promising outlook, the European PNT industry faces increasing competition from the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and the United States.
NAVISP supports the European and Canadian PNT industries by mitigating R&D risks to facilitate the development of new PNT-related products, improving access to global markets, and enhancing national capabilities by supporting Participant States in advancing their PNT capabilities. By fostering a more integrated and responsive PNT industry, Phase 4 aims to ensure that long-term investments are strategically aligned with market demands and that the European and Canadian industries remain competitive on the global stage.
As we approach the 2025 Ministerial Conference, we invite all stakeholders to engage with the new NAVISP logo and support our vision for Phase 4. Together, we will drive innovation and strengthen the position of the European and Canadian PNT industry worldwide.
