Optical clocks are at the core of alternative positioning, navigation, and timing (alt-PNT) solutions that do not depend on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). When fully realised, alt-PNT will increase the resilience of Critical National Infrastructures (such as the UK National Timing Centre) and provide many sectors of the economy with increased commercial returns.

OPTiK aims to increase the commercial appeal of Infleqtion UK's optical atomic frequency reference, Tiqker, by providing syntonisation and synchronisation features which provide traceability and dissemination through integration with White Rabbit. This additional capability transitions Tiqker from an optical frequency reference to a stratum 1 clock, providing next generation timing performance to commercial markets.
