The Advanced Radio Frequency Interference Detection, Alerting and Analysis System (ARFIDAAS) project is directed at providing a high capability low cost solution to the growing threat of disruption of GNSS signals used for critical infrastructure due to intentional and unintentional interference. Current solutions provide very limited spectral coverage which ARFIDAAS will address by simultaneously covering all current Galileo, GPS and GLONASS signals and providing mechanisms by which threats can be assessed to both enhance detection and alerting while also building a database of known threats. By alerting operators of critical infrastructure in near real time of disruption events, it is intended that corrective actions can be taken immediately when available while also convincing national spectrum management authorities of the need for better protection of the L-band.
