Space Research Centre Polish Academy of Science (CBK-PAN)

Space Research Centre Polish Academy of Science (Centrum Badań Kosmicznych PAN) is an interdisciplinary research institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, established to conduct scientific research and activities. One of the important goals of the institute is to develop the space industry in Poland. Institute has been established in 1977 and is located in Warsaw, Bartycka 18A (headquarter) and two divisions in Wrocław and Borówiec close to Poznań. Curently the staff of the institute consists of about 200 employers from which about 1/3 are the engineers, specialists and technicians involved in design, manufacturing and tests of space equipment. Our mission is the development and dissemination of space activities, which might help our country in achieving the image of the state actively involved in space research at world level and the creation of satellite technologies. Basing on satellite techniques we carry out basic and applied research into phenomena in interplanetary and near Earth space, and into solar physics and solar system bodies
