Redtail Telematics Ltd is a full stack Telematics Service Provider (TSP) that designs hardware, software, databases, user interfaces and using 3rd part connectivity. Design and development is carried out in Cambridge UK, with volume contract manufacture in Penang, Malaysia

Redtail provides its devices and services to fleet tracking, Usage Based Insurance and stolen vehicle tracking markets, the Redtail team having delivered over 6 million wireless devices into the automotive aftermarket in over 30 countries.

Redtail was formed in 2010 as a spin-out from Plextek, the communications technology design house that has also spun-out Blighter Surveillance Systems (e-scan radar) and Telensa Ltd (Streetlight metering, monitoring and management), and has been involved in the founding of Monumo (Reinventing electric motors) and Redcloud Technologies (cashless money transfer services).
