Sateliot

Sateliot is the newspace company deploying the first LEO satellite constellation operating under the 5G standard, enabling standard IoT devices and smartphones to connect directly from space. For the first time, unmodified cellular devices can connect seamlessly and directly from space, merging terrestrial and satellite mobile networks in a fully interoperable ecosystem.

Sateliot is leading this transformation with a scalable, cost-effective infrastructure that bridges the digital divide and unlocks the full potential of massive IoT and D2D wideband in underserved areas.

Sateliot currently has five satellites in orbit and plans to scale its constellation to hundreds in the coming years, manufactured at its development center in Barcelona. This expansion will ensure continuous global coverage and enhance service capacity, enabling both real-time and delay-tolerant IoT applications at an unprecedented scale.

Beyond civil use cases, Sateliot’s 5G-native architecture also supports secure and resilient connectivity for governmental applications. This includes communications in critical infrastructure, border surveillance, and emergency response, aligning with the growing strategic demand for autonomous European capabilities in space and communications.

As a Spanish company backed by key European institutional and industrial partners, Sateliot is a pillar of Europe’s pursuit of technological sovereignty. It reinforces the EU’s ambition to lead in next-generation connectivity and strategic autonomy. With a clear mission to democratize access to space-based telecommunications, Sateliot delivers reliable, secure, and affordable connectivity for a smarter, safer, and more connected world.
