Final Presentation NAVISP EL1-087 bis " VERIFIABLE AI/ML TECHNIQUES FOR PNT APPLICATIONS"

The final presentation of the Verifiable AI/ML Techniques for PNT Applications (VAIPOSA) activity, developed by Fondazione Bruno Kessler together with GMV UK under ESA's NAVISP-EL1-087 project, will summarize the outcomes of this initiative. The project focused on developing an architecture for combining a traditional GNSS-based engine with an AI-based PNT engine using visual SLAM techniques, supervised by a safety cage architecture to determine the reliability of the two individual PNT solutions and fuse their outputs. The presentation will outline the development of the VAIPOSA PNT system and its verification and validation via simulation-based testing, providing insights into the technical approach, the achieved performance metrics, lessons learned and potential directions for further development.
