Final Presentation NAVISP EL2-280 " JAMMING/SPOOFING EVENT RECOGNITION SYSTEM (JASPER)"

Start date:

End date:

The increasing occurrence of GNSS interference, including jamming and spoofing, represents a growing challenge for commercial aviation. At the same time, flight crews currently lack dedicated onboard tools that provide real-time awareness of such events. The “Jamming/Spoofing Event Recognition System (JASPER)” product idea addresses this gap by providing a GNSS interference detection and awareness system designed for retrofit installation in commercial aircraft. The system combines onboard detection, intuitive crew alerting via Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), and post-flight data analysis capabilities. This approach enables immediate operational benefits without requiring deep integration into existing avionics systems.

In addition to real-time awareness, JASPER supports the collection and analysis of interference data, enabling the generation of aggregated information such as interference maps and post-flight insights. This creates additional value for operators and contributes to a broader understanding of GNSS interference across the aviation ecosystem.
