Final Presentation NAVISP EL1-088 bis "PROOF-OF-CONCEPT OF ADVANCED NAVIGATION ALGORITHMS BASED ON FACTOR GRAPH OPTIMIZATION"

The final presentation of the Advanced Navigation Algorithms based on Factor Graph Optimization activity (FGO-NAV), developed by ABBIA "GNSS Technologies" under ESA’s NAVISP-EL1-088 project, will summarize the outcomes of this activity. The project focused on how Factor Graph Optimization Algorithms may be used to replace or complement the traditional Weighted Least Square (WLS) or Kalman Filter (KF)-based solutions, for stand-alone and for hybrid positioning solutions in combination with sensors. The presentation will detail the development of an FGO-NAV real-time algorithm, and the approach used for its validation in real harsh urban conditions, allowing to the benchmark both the potential accuracy improvement and the computational cost of the proposed algorithm against WLS and EKF algorithms.
