Direct Positioning in the Cloud explained! Register to the Final Presentation of NAVISP EL2-096 "Cloud-Based snapshot GNSS Solution"

The goal of the EL2-096 Project, executed by Albora, was to develop a Cloud-based Snapshot GNSS solution providing augmented levels of sensitivity, potentially extending the use of GNSS Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) services to degraded, or even denied, scenarios, such as urban canyons or mild indoor facilities. 
Albora Technologies Limited is a London-based SME that was founded in 2017 with the purpose to address and provide solutions to geolocation technologies’ most difficult problems using, among others, Direct Position Estimation proprietary technology.
Within the project, Albora has developed ALCORE technology based on the combination of high sensitivity techniques and advanced software solutions, providing geolocation solutions in such complex environments. Moreover, the versatility of the cloud-based approach allows for the transparent incorporation of state-of-the-art anti-jamming mechanisms, without the need to update the user receiver. ALCORE makes it possible to take advantage of satellite signals that are too weak or distorted to be used by traditional systems, whereas robust interference mitigation techniques allow to cope with jamming in interference-rich scenarios. The solution was tested with GNSS signal and jamming simulators, and in relevant challenging scenarios.
The project was carried out in the frame of NAVISP Element 2, which is devoted to supporting competitiveness of European industries.
