How to verify the resilience of drones against cyberattacks

Start date: 23/09/2022 10:00

CyTEF is a Proof of Concept of a test facility capable of verifying the resilience of drones against a set of different cyberattacks, including GNSS jamming and spoofing, RF link attacks, and IT attacks. The system is composed of several heterogeneous subsystems commanded by a Central Orchestrator (CO) according to configurable test plans. The system analyses the results of the attacks and the response of the Equipment Under Test and generates a report with the relevant information to assess its resilience.
The Proof of Concept has been successfully demonstrated in the DronePort facilities in Belgium by using it in the evaluation of different types of drones. On top of this, the main components can be operated independently, and they could be used for other purposes.
In this presentation you will see the overall CyTEF system and their main components, how they work, the main challenges found during the project and the results of the proof-of-concept demonstration. Finally, you will see how the output of this project could be exploited in the future.
