Final Presentation of NAVCOM-X (NAVISP-EL2-138)

On 12/06/2025, Betrian Group (CZ) and the GNSS Centre of Excellence (CZ) presented the results of the project “NAVCOM-X, The Modular PNT Solution for Rail”. The goal of the project was to develop a fully modular geolocation solution (software and hardware) incorporating GNSS, odometry and inertial navigation, ready for ERTMS European Train Control System (ETCS) level 3.

Through the presentation, Betrian described both the software and hardware modules, discussed the performance and presented next steps. The plan of the project team is to present the results to several rail operators, gather their feedback, and get the final adjustments to certify the product and start selling it. Whilst the first target market is rail, the product has applicability in areas like agriculture or construction.

This project was funded through ESA’s NAVISP Element 2, targeting increasing competitiveness of European Industry in PNT. The Final Presentation can be found here.
