NAVISP Element 1 PNT technology innovation Work Plan 2023 approved

The Program Board Navigation, the ESA body delegated for the planning of the activities in the ESA Navigation directorate, has approved on the 27th of October the yearly plan of the activities to be run under the NAVISP Element 1, the part of the programme devoted to the Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technology innovation. Participating States are now deciding which activities to support, in the final steps for the formalization of the Work Plan.

NAVISP Element 1 has the ambition to influence the Positioning, Navigation and Timing research, with a target to prove PNT technology concepts, and in some cases to implement breadboards to be verified in real conditions. 

The activities will contribute to the advance of the PNT technology and to the preliminary definition of new services, to be followed up in the other NAVISP Elements, the Element 2 and Element 3.
