The European Space Agency's GNSS Science Support Centre (GSSC) is organizing a webinar for enthusiasts and professionals alike to get an exclusive insight into its digital platform.

"GSSC Now Webinar: Exploring ESA's Digital Navigation Platform"

The focus of this webinar is GSSC Now, a state-of-the-art digital hub designed and set up by the GSSC team. The platform is aimed at researchers, experts and anyone involved in GNSS-related activities. With a variety of features such as seamless data access, advanced analysis tools, collaboration capabilities and much more, GSSC Now becomes the central hub that enables navigation-related activities.

The webinar will showcase two NAVISP activities as case studies:

  • Machine Learning Techniques to Model GNSS: The main objective of the activity was to assess the usability of Machine Learning (ML) techniques to improve the GNSS navigation message performance. This was achieved by reducing the impact of the different error sources, mitigated by either detecting missing parameters and predicting their values, or by filtering out data affected by errors. To this end, the GNSS Machine Learning Demonstrator (GMLD) was developed, aiming at investigating, and demonstrating the use of ML in various areas of GNSS domain.
  • CAMALIOT- Application of Machine Learning Technology for GNSS IoT Data Fusion: The project explored the concept of “citizen science” in use cases for weather forecast and space weather monitoring. The project combined smartphone-based GNSS data with observations acquired by high quality GNSS stations. To that end, the project developed an Android app and conducted a dedicated crowdsourcing campaign collecting over 150 billion GPS observations.
