Polish National PNT Workshop: Unlocking PNT Business Potential

On May 29, the Ministry of Digital Affairs in Warsaw hosted an event that brought together a diverse ecosystem of around 30 representatives from companies and research institutes, showcasing the breadth of Poland's technological landscape. Various market areas were represented, including transport, automotive, space, timing facilities, and PNT equipment manufacturers, highlighting the multifaceted PNT industry in Poland.
The event commenced with an opening speech by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, highlighting the paramount importance of PNT for modern society and the economy. The significant representation from Poland's space sector was duly acknowledged, with emphasis placed on the potential for future joint activities, particularly in relation to NAVISP.
Following the opening remarks, the NAVISP team presented an extensive overview of the programme, clarifying its objectives and initiatives. They offered detailed explanations of each programmatic element and outlined opportunities for participation, while also providing insights into the innovation system of PNT technologies. Furthermore, they engaged in discussions regarding upcoming opportunities, technical challenges, and the ongoing market developments within the PNT sector. Subsequently, insights from various companies were shared, offering perspectives on their experiences collaborating with NAVISP. Companies such as Hertz Systems, ITTI, and GMV showcased the outcomes of their projects and recounted their experiences working within the NAVISP framework. They emphasized the strength of the PNT ecosystem in Poland, citing numerous partners along the value chain, particularly in research, production, and testing. Additionally, they touched upon future ideas and preparations, indicating a promising trajectory for continued collaboration and innovation within the sector.
In the afternoon, several companies participated in one-on-one discussions, fostering collaboration and idea exchange among participants. Overall, the event provided a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within Poland's growing PNT sector, enabling stakeholders to align on the strategic importance of PNT and explore collaborative opportunities for its advancement.
