Work Plan 2026 Addendum

Reflecting the importance of technology developments in the Positioning, Navigation and Timing, we are pleased to announce that an Addendum to the Element 1 Work Plan 2026 has been approved at the ESA Programme Board - Navigation meeting in May.

Concretely, this means that 5 additional activities will be launched already in 2026 in the field
of:

•  Assured PNT
•  Low SWAP
•  Complementary sensors
•  Disruptive PNT Technology

What's Inside the Work Plan?

The Work Plan 2026 Addendum document is now available. It contains the additional Invitations to Tender scheduled for publication throughout 2026, alongside their description and execution timeline (the current Work Plan 2026 activities are already on the website).

The activities will contribute to the advance of PNT technologies and to the preliminary definition of new services, potentially to be followed up in the other NAVISP Elements, the Element 2 and Element 3.
