In the world of avionic systems, we observed a transition from federated avionics architectures to Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) where IMA architectures provide a shared computing platform, communications, and I/O resource pool that is partitioned by multiple tasks of differing design assurance criticalities. A similar transition is currently observed in the world of satellite systems. The main objective of the proposal is to develop a new design methodology through our software SpaceStudio to explore different architectures and hardware/software partitions for spaceborne GNSS receivers (e.g. GPS and Galileo) operating in Low Earth Orbits (LEO) as well as in high Earth orbits (GEO, GSO, HEO). The methodology must be able to reuse existing IPs from existing platforms, while being agnostic regarding the targeted SoC implementation (e.g. Zynq, Zynq Ultrascale+, Intel Stratix 10/Arria 10, NG Ultra).
