090 bis - Robust Navigation for Autonomous Driving with Low-Cost/SWaP Arrays of Antennas
Status: On Going
Activity Code: NAVISP-EL1-090 bis
Start date: 17/12/2024
Duration: 18 Months
The objective of this project is to develop, implement, and demonstrate robust GNSS positioning solutions for autonomous driving using low-cost antenna arrays on low-Size Weight and Power (SWaP) platforms. By leveraging signals from these antenna arrays, subject to multipath and interference, the project aims to enhance PNT solution robustness through innovative techniques. These solutions will be tailored to meet the computational and complexity constraints of autonomous applications.
The project will produce a flexible breadboard system implementing advanced GNSS signal processing techniques (e.g. DPE and beamforming techniques) and low-cost antenna arrays on low SWaP to improve robustness of the PNT solution. The breadboard will undergo field testing to demonstrate its benefits in challenging urban environments, targeting autonomous driving applications.
