The proposed Railway Position, Velocity and Timing Reference System (RaiwaylPVT) will use ETCS Eurobalises to augment GNSS.

Fused with inertial referencing and advanced odometry, the overall system will deliver accurate positioning, velocity and timing with full availability in any (ETCS) railway network with ensured integrity.

The partners iMAR Navigation (iMAR), Schweizer Bundesbahnen (SBB), Siemens Mobility Schweiz (SMO) and Schild & Partner (SuP) work together to realise the proposed PVT Reference System and achieve a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 8 or 9 at project completion.
