NAVIGA-EVO is the evolved version of the NAVIGA-VNE (the hybrid navigation unit for VEGA-C launcher) that will reinforce the potential of NAVIGA as the European navigation unit by incorporating capabilities offered by Galileo such as dual-frequency or RF antenna among others and by implementing advanced processing algorithms, which will allow extend the use cases of NAVIGA to new mission scenarios (kick-stage, in-orbit servicing, beyond LEO operations, Earth re-entry, …) and thus the target market for the resulting product.

The current phase 1 of the NAVIGA-EVO development covers up to CDR, with the validation of the defined requirements, in a representative HW.

The NAVIGA-EVO phase 2, object of this proposal, apart from enhancing the testing capabilities of the NAVIGA products, extends the maturity of the product up to TRL-8 by a qualification campaign in the selected mission environmental conditions (to be agreed at KOM based on the Market perspectives).
