M3 Systems has successfully provided GNSS test solutions since 2013 with its STELLA NGC (Radio Frequency Constellation Simulator) and STELLA RP (Record and Playback) products. However, evolving technological advancements in GNSS signals, positioning services (OSNMA, HAS, EWSS), LEO-PNT, communications technologies (LTE, 5G, SatCOM), and other positioning sensors (e.g., IMU) now require more flexible, modular, and advanced testing capabilities. In response, M3 Systems has initiated the STELLA NextGen project to deliver an innovative, comprehensive, affordable, and user-friendly testing platform addressing the dynamic needs across automotive, railways, aerospace, national security, defense, and telecommunications sectors.
STELLA NextGen aims to support the complete lifecycle of cutting-edge Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technologies, emphasizing robustness, resilience, and integration with emerging radionavigation services. Key features include multi-system and multi-sensor simulation capabilities, robust handling of radio-navigation vulnerabilities (e.g., Radio Frequency Interference), deep API-based integration, and faster-than-real-time simulation to effectively support critical safety testing scenarios.
