University of Padua
The University of Padua is a Research & Development university with a faculty of over 2,200 and more than 60,000 students. It has with a very strong hard sciences programme and departmental structure. It has a strong record in R&D in the space sector, where it is recalled that it contributed the design and construction of the Giotto and the Rosetta missions cameras, besides a number of other scientific instruments flown in different interplanetary space missions, notably and recently Mars Express.
