The Civil Protection Centre of the University of Florence (CPC-UNIFI) has been constituted in 2018 and it is part of the National Italian Service of Civil Protection, as it is Centre of Competence for Civil Protection in the field of geological risk prevention. CPC-UNIFI provides technical and research support to all the Civil Protection structures for the management of emergencies, prevention and for reduction of natural and anthropic hazards and risks. It integrates technical-scientific knowledge and the products derived from research, development and innovation activities as well as academic skills in the Civil Protection network and services in accordance with the article 1 of Italian Law 30/2012. CPC-UNIFI will also include in the project the experience of using Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) which will be part of PATHFINDER complete solution.
