The prime contractor of this project is Betrian a.s.. It consists of a team of professionals who first met on the joint AZD project Robotrain, where a concept called Robotrain - Autonomous Train Technology was built. Physical Train - LAB featuring anti-collision system including obstacle detection, precise location unit, automatic passenger counting and train driver alerts. Data collected from Robotrain are still in use for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning purposes of improving STOP signals compliance for train drivers. Afterwards NavTrain has been developed and is being sold currently. We have specialists for designing software and hardware applications, application development, embedded systems development with a focus on rail, Industry 4.0 and IoT. In close cooperation with CD Cargo we have mobile LABs available for most common locomotive types and we conduct regular testing. This is our first project with ESA and we have been granted the SME status.
