ADVEOS

Established in 2015, ADVEOS specializes in cutting-edge ASIC solutions for RF/mm-wave systems and sensor applications. The company has successfully built a robust international presence across a diverse range of markets and sectors. ADVEOS is a leader in RF design and innovative localization products, such as the ADV361. This advanced device leverages Bluetooth® Low Energy Direction Finding technology, employing both Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) and Angle-of-Departure (AoD) modes to achieve exceptional 3D positioning accuracy. The ADV361 offers enhanced localization capabilities, making it ideal for various indoor positioning applications and markets, including asset tracking, navigation, and security. ADVEOS' proficiency in simulating, developing, and assessing localization prototypes and products will be comprehensively utilized in this project to evaluate the localization capabilities of RIS devices. Moreover, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment from ADVEOS and other companies will be employed to acquire precise ground truth information, which will subsequently be used to validate the RIS-assisted localization solution. In addition to their expertise in localization, ADVEOS boasts expertise in analog and digital IC design, system engineering, embedded firmware, and technology research for wireless communication systems. The company's extensive know-how covers a wide array of applications, including WiFi 6 (802.11ax) based device SoCs, LTE, Bluetooth, and satellite communications. Since December 2020, ADVEOS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beken Corporation. ADVEOS is an active ESA supplier since 2016 and has been involved in the design and development of various ESA projects. More specifically, ADVEOS was the Project’s Prime for MIDAS (ESA contract No 4000119598/17/NL/LF), aiming at the development of a highly miniaturized detector; this is an active dosimeter in the dimensions of wristwatch to be used by astronauts in missions outside the geomagnetic field. MIDAS device is aimed at delivering radiation data output will increase the level of crew autonomy as far as it concerns operational decisions related to radiation hazards. ADVEOS partnered with Greek Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), National Center of Scientific Research – Demokritos – and University of Cyprus in order to successfully complete the Project in 2020. At the present time, ADVEOS is participating in LURAD project, a radiation monitor package for Lunar mission (ESA No 4000133574/21/NL/CRS). Essentially, this is a continuation of MIDAS project with the purpose of bring the active dosimeter developed during MIDAS in a higher TRL level and with enhanced capabilities / features. LURAD project is in collaboration with National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and Sintef (Norway).
