University Center of Studies and Space Activities G. Colombo (CISAS)

The University Center of Studies and Space Activities G. Colombo (CISAS), established in 1991, is an interdisciplinary center whose goal is to promote, coordinate, and carry on studies, researches, and spatial activities, linking science, applied research, and industry.
In the GNSS sector, CISAS is active at regional, national and European level.
At regional level, CISAS manages a permanent network of GNSS stations on behalf of the Veneto Region and provides real-time and deferred positioning services to professional users (land-based professionals, precision farming, etc.) and institutional ones, according to European standards, and in particular the European Directive INSPIRE.
At national level, CISAS systematically analyzes a permanent network of about 700 GNSS stations for the definition of the latitude and longitude system, in collaboration with the Military Geographic Institute and the Central Administration of the Cadastre, and in partnership with the Politecnico di Milano and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna.
At European level, CISAS participates in the activities of the European Permanent Network of EUREF, the European organization overseeing the definition and maintenance of the common coordinate system at European level.
The contribution is made in terms of supplying raw data produced by CISAS stations, data processed by our licensed testing center and participation in the activities of the Governing Board.
