The Institute of Automation Technology and Software Systems (IAS) at the University of Stuttgart has a 90-year history of research and teaching. It focuses on software development in automation technology, ensuring the reliability and safety of automated and autonomous systems using artificial intelligence. With 30 employees and an average of 15 students writing theses or working as undergraduate research assistants, IAS prioritizes:
