The Satellite Applications Catapult (Catapult) is a not-for-profit Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) which acts as a neutral trusted entry point to an entire network of UK expertise in applications development across government, academia, and industry.

The Catapult is at the heart of the satellite services revolution, driving take-up of space technology and applications to shape, and sustain, the world of tomorrow. The company's primary purpose is to promote, develop and facilitate the commercialisation and advancement of the satellite applications industry.

The Catapult supports organisations in the space sector, both large and small, to bring new products and services to market by providing strategic support and advice on market entry and positioning, business and service model optimisation, commercialisation, and space service and data integration. In addition, we provide technical expertise as well as facilities to support technology development including prototyping, testing, and manufacturing facilities.
