Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC)

The Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC is a globally recognized hub within the European research space for science IT infrastructure. As a significant research and development center in information and communication technologies (ICT), PSNC plays a pivotal role in advancing e-Infrastructure.
PSNC's contributions include designing and constructing the POZMAN Metropolitan Network, the High Power Computer Center, and the PIONIER national broadband network. These infrastructures are pivotal in facilitating research endeavors and are continually expanded and maintained by PSNC. PSNC focuses on pioneering digital prototypes within new-generation networks, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and Big Data. PSNC contributed to creating a demonstrator for time and frequency signal transmission across 800 km of fiber optic lines, connecting Poland's only two UTC laboratories. This initiative enhances precision in timekeeping and establishes crucial infrastructure for national time standards.
