BLU Electronic is a 100% Italian company with over 25 years of experience in the aerospace sector, specializing in the design, development, and production of high-reliability electronic units for space applications.

Our core expertise includes Power Control and Distribution Units, Control Units, Sensor Interfaces, and Processing Units, developed and qualified in compliance with ESA standards.

Throughout its history, BLU Electronic has successfully delivered systems for major programmes such as Sentinel-1, HERSCHEL, and CYGNUS, confirming its technical capabilities and process maturity.

All developments are managed internally, from conceptual design to final qualification, thanks to a fully automated SMT line, ISO8 cleanroom, and an in-house team of certified engineers and operators.

The company is UNI EN 9100 certified and qualified to ESA ECSS-Q-ST-70-38C for space electronic assembly processes.

The experience acquired through past ESA projects ensures that BLU Electronic can autonomously manage both technical execution and associated project activities, while meeting schedule, quality and cost constraints.

In details:

• BLU Electronic is involved in the design and development of class 1- and lower-class missions. In particular, the company is developing the PCDU for the IRIDE constellation for which the extensive use of automotive and lower-class (class II and class III) components is envisaged to reach the cost target. Meanwhile, class 1 programmes such as the ESA-NASA MSR-ERO or the ESA Space Rider program are underway.


• BLU Electronic design and produce equipment for space and aeronautic applications, therefore the company has a clear vision, and internal procedures designed to adapt to the specific requirements of the product application market.


• BLU Electronic has an in-house fully automatic SMT assembly line installed in the company's clean room, used for both space and aircraft manufacturing. The capacity of the line is approximately 15,000 boards per year


• BLU is already involved in recurrent production of space equipment for space transportation applications
