Terrafix(TFX) Limited is an innovative UK SME established in 1983 to research and develop Land Navigation systems for worldwide deployment. Its first system operational in 1988 for the Royal Oman Police integrated VLF based AVL, Mobile Data Communications, Mapping and Information display technology. Subsequent systems, deployed in UK and Internationally, have evolved to include PNT related technologies such as GNSS, DR, INS, terrestrial radio-navigation and their combinations. TFX’s strategy of enabling growth by innovation drives active R&D investment in-house and externally to remain at the leading edge of its expertise areas. Participation in national and international location-related research projects included software systems, navigation receivers (satellite and terrestrial), multi-modal tracking utilizing early EGNOS, eLoran, Signals of Opportunity, Multi-sensor navigation and MESH Ranging.
