Aalto-korkeakoulusäätiö sr., operating as Aalto University (AALTO), is a Finnish multidisciplinary university in the fields of science and technology, economics, architecture, and art and design. Aalto University employs 386 professors and has a student body of 12 000 (FTE), 70 % of which are students in science and technology. The AI research will be conducted by Aalto University's Sensor informatics and medical technology group which is affiliated with The Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation (EEA), Department of Computer Science (CS), and the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI). Research of the group focuses to sensor informatics, adaptive signal processing, and data fusion systems especially for location sensing and medical applications. Other applications include smartphone sensor fusion, robotics, target tracking, and many other indirectly measured time-varying systems.
