University of Liverpool
The department of Physics of the University of Liverpool, in particular the Particle Physics group, will be in charge of POSITRINO project. The Department of Physics has outstanding research facilities including the Liverpool Semiconductor Detector Centre and a world-class LAr laboratory, both of which are unique facilities for major R&D into the next generation of particle detection systems. There is also a well-equipped research mechanical workshop and a large clean room complex. The Department has excellent computing infrastructure, including a Tier-2 Grid cluster with over 568 cores and 1.5TB of RAM, and a Tier-3 cluster for both interactive analysis and batch processing.
