Register for the Final Presentation of the NAVISP EL1 041 Project "Quantum Metrology for secure PNT"

The goal of the EL1-041 project is to develop a free-space quantum metrology system for PNT, which is robust and miniaturized enough to be deployed in a mobile context or in space.
The technique implemented is a variation of the pseudorange approach for time synchronization but where the timing signals are now realized with single photon sources and the data interpreted using quantum metrological principles. Consequently, such an approach should provide an additional level of security during the time dissemination process.
There are several preliminary steps to realize such a quantum metrological overlay beyond the conventional GNSS approach. These steps have been successfully implemented in a relatively compact system and applied and verified over a terrestrial test range over 400meter.
The project was carried out in the scope of NAVISP Element 1, which aims to develop innovative concepts, techniques, technologies, and systems related to the PNT sector along the entire value chain.
