Register for the Final Presentation of the NAVISP EL1-064 Project: "Block-box for an optimised GNSS spectrum monitoring network using AI"

The pervasive use of GNSS technologies in different domains covering safety critical applications, liability critical and commercial application has raised the GNSS community attention towards solutions aiming at providing resilient navigation in environments dominated by GNSS threats, such as Radio Frequency Interference or Spoofing.

The BREGO project aims at providing a real-time jamming and spoofing detection, classification and mitigation by means of optimised signal processing techniques driven by AI and machine learning algorithms. A preliminary prototype, focusing on GPS L1 and GALILEO E1 signals, has been integrated by GMV NSL Ltd with the objectives to:

  • Design and size the computational need for a real time AI and DSP based detection, classification and mitigation against jamming and spoofing
  • Experiment and tunes on board functionalities exploiting in house database of jamming and spoofing real data collected on field
  • E2E testing at ESA/ESTEC exploiting the data collected by ESA team during JammerTest campaign 2024, in Bleik , Norway.
  • understand relevant constraints on the breadboarding activities and derive relevant requirements

The NAVISP EL1-064 project “Block-box for an optimised GNSS spectrum monitoring network using AI” was funded by NAVISP Element 1, which is dedicated to technology innovation of the European industry in the wide PNT sector.
