DRONES DEPLOYED AS BEACONS. PLEASE REGISTER FOR THE FINAL PRESENTATION OF NAVISP EL1-018 "LOW-RF FAST DEPLOYABLE SYSTEMS FOR EMERGENCIES IN DIFFICULT ENVIRONMENTS"
Start date: 10/06/2022 10:00
End date: 10/06/2022 11:30
GMV NSL and Alborg University’s Low-RF system is a prototyped proof of concept that enables positioning, navigation and messaging deep inside of buildings and heavily built up environments, areas where GNSS-based-only methods cannot be effectively used. Fusing Low-RF and GNSS technologies allows continuous and seamless navigation when travelling into and out of these difficult environments. Specifically, Low-RF has been developed as a Civilian and Assets Recovery System (CARS) providing this seamless navigation to emergency service responders within crisis situations. Low-RF is enabled through the installation of low frequency transmitters around the disaster area which allows signal propagation into buildings. The transmitters do not need to be fixed in their location, they are hosted by drones/UAVs along with other platforms and are therefore quickly deployable, with the number and configuration of the transmitters being quickly altered to react to the emergency situation.
EL1-018 "Low-RF Fast Deployable Systems For Emergencies In Difficult Environments" was funded by NAVISP Element 1, which is dedicated to technology innovation of the European industry in the wide PNT sector.
