Slides of NAVISP EL2-115 now available!
On Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, ARPSoft presented the results of the NAVISP EL2-115 project, “Road Sounder” an autonomous system for road condition monitoring and maintenance planning. The system combines GNSS and IMU-equipped Road Sounder Cells (RSC) with cloud-based processing to detect road defects, estimate profiles, and assess roughness.
Some notable results are the realization of:
- Precise GNSS-aided INS navigation for reliable road profiling.
- Real-time data transmission using MQTT and efficient cloud processing.
- Map-based visualization of road conditions with roughness analysis.
- Future developments include integrating AI for defect detection and extending the system to smaller municipalities, enhancing data-driven road maintenance.
The project was part of NAVISP Element 2, aimed at supporting industrial competitiveness and stimulating innovation in the PNT sector.
