022 - Vulnerability analysis for GNSS dependent vital and major infrastructures (IKUSII)
Status: Completed
Activity Code: NAVISP-EL3-022
Start date: 15/03/2022
The societal dependency on GNSS is increasing rapidly year after year. Adaptation of GNSS is in many cases done unnoticed by users and is often part of critical business processes.
The main objectives of this project includes the assessment of the current vulnerability of (Dutch) applications in vital infrastructures and sensitive applications as a result of GNSS outages and the potential impact on a national level. The activity also addresses the need to manage GNSS vulnerability; not only for the current situation, but also for future applications. In other words, to help understand the risks and act accordingly.
The project will be conducted by the GNSS Centre of Excellence (CoE), currently a cooperation by CGI Netherlands, Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR), and S[&]T. The objective of the GNSS CoE is to promote the proper use of GNSS technology in critical application, both from a safety and economic point of view.
