The activity aims at developing a new GNSS spaceborne receiver (called MARCONI New Space) to respond to several space market needs:
• A Low-Cost GNSS Receiver suitable for large production (Constellations) - use, as much as possible, of selected COTS or low grade components with good radiation robustness and specific protection mechanism;
• Compact design, internally redundant;
• High accuracy and reliability with multi-constellation capability, 3 parallel RF frequncy bands and selectable signals
• use of state-of-the art System on Chip components and SDR approach;
• Easy customization to specific mission applications by hosting, in a dedicated core, also third-party application-dependent SW functions.
