MEDEA is an EGNSS/INMARSAT Rx multiband digital array antenna that covers the two bandwidths from 1150 up to 1290 MHz and from 1539 to 1610 MHz.
MEDEA can be considered a sort of “applique equipment” for any standard GNSS receivers because of, in addition to gather RF signal from the outside space, it embeds a few features to improve the integrity of the receiver operations to which it is connected.
Exploiting the 7 radiators of its array and SDR processing, it is capable by innovative blind algorithms to mitigate jammer signals by nulling the antenna pattern gain. In addition, by the fully integrated IMU it can detected spoofing attacks.
MEDEA is conceived to be characterized by a high degree of flexibility and versatility so that it can be adapted to the needs of specific user and may embed algorithms suitable for specific customer applications.
