DiMOS Operations GmbH was founded in 2020 and is a DLR GfR Spin-Off. DiMOS has extensive experience in operating safety-critical infrastructure as the operator of the Galileo satellite constellation and has a background as a certified Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) for Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS).
DiMOS's business model is the technical supervision and management of operational areas for automated mobility applications, as required by the law on autonomous driving passed by the German Federal Council in May 2022. Due to its background as a satellite operator, DiMOS is ideally positioned to innovatively transfer established solutions from the aerospace industry (e.g., remote monitoring, secure data link, satellite navigation) to automated 24/7 traffic applications on land, water, and in the air with corresponding service level agreements (liable service provision).
